Suzi designs predominantly within devised physical theatre and dance, on diverse projects ranging from large scale and site specific performances, to intimate studio shows.  She enjoys the fluidity of an evolving devising process and the collaboration of creative minds.


She trained at Aberystwyth University and followed the postgraduate course in Theatre Design at RWCMD in Cardiff, graduating in 2002. She has designed for the National Dance Company of Wales ("A Mighty Wind" UK and International, "Hinterland" UK & International, "Serenade", "Revolution", "Paper Skies", "In the New Moon"), Welsh National Opera ("The Boy Who Went To The West Wind", UK and US tour) Volcano Theatre ("Threshold", choreographer Marc Rees), Aberystwyth Arts Centre ("Beauty"), Likely Story ("Seatown Ladies"), TaikaBox ("Rites of the Digital Shaman" , Jo Fong (Unknown Pleasures) and has collaborated for the last ten years with choreographer Sean Tuan John on film and theatre work ("Happiness Repeats Itself", "Phantasma", "The Deadhead Show", "Kill the Klowns", "Wonderfully Grimm", "Tear Us Apart") and also for his children's dance theatre company Bombastic Dance.

She has taught theatre design for the last 10 years at University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Swansea.

Alongside theatre and production design, she creates varied design works for both commercial and artistic clients, in a wide variety of materials, and for diverse applications. As a trained Goldsmith she continues to produce exquisite works of wearable art and jewellery, enjoying the detail of smaller works of art.
